Situation
A major hyperscale data center project at the Foxconn Cerberus site faced a critical schedule issue. CED Houston originally sourced the power solution through an OEM that quoted September 2025 delivery. After award, lead times shifted significantly and delivery moved to February.
The project owner could not delay the required December go live date, creating an immediate need for an alternative solution.
Action
- Rapid coordination with the ECP Harvey IEL and CED Houston
- Fast tracked engineering and drawing development
- Close collaboration through review and approval cycles
- Accelerated manufacturing and execution
MCXP completed engineered drawings that received approval in November, allowing production to move immediately.
Impact
In December, MCXP shipped 168 switchboards. Within three months, MCXP engineered drawings, received customer approval, and assembled product in less than four weeks, allowing the project to stay on schedule.
Delivered Value
Large infrastructure and data center projects continue to face schedule pressure and extended equipment lead times. When project timelines cannot move, speed and execution matter. MCXP provides short lead time power distribution and switchgear solutions that help customers keep critical projects on schedule. As a result, the Foxconn Cerberus project achieved its target timeline and successfully went live on schedule.
